Last Saturday 14, November 2015, Mastermind had the pleasure of training a bunch of energetic and highly motivated sales person of a training company. The person behind the this successful company is none other than Lynn Ho, who happened to be a long time acquaintance of our master trainer, Jackson Ng.

What makes a sales person successful? How do you achieve a breakthrough sales result? What does B-R-E-A-K-T-H-R-O-U-G-H means? Breakthrough simply means ” a new result, a new achievement, something that you have never achieved before”. Hence having a breakthrough results in sales means not only achieving any sales target but also exceeding them. For example, your daily target is to make 50 fresh calls, after this training, you are able to achieve 60. That is breakthrough as you have never reached 60 calls before.

However, to achieve a breakthrough result, we must first have the mindset for it. In actual fact, whatever that we want to accomplish, we must set our mind to it. Self-doubting or questioning ourselves instead of affirming our beliefs and ability may be the cause of our constant failure. Get rid of that fear, challenge your current mindset, change your perception and have a million dollar mindset and an achiever’s attitude!

To put participants knowledge into good practice, Jackson had asked all participants to sell one book each to a total stranger. Many actually felt nervous and scared as they were not used to a face to face sales presentation. With the right formula, technique and framework provided by the trainer, most actually felt that they would be able to sell and have breakthrough result.

Jackson helped the participants to conquer their fear of rejection or objection from potential clients. As a sales person, regardless of the industry we are from, we are subjected to constant changes in our daily dealings. What may be confirmed yesterday may be cancelled today. Hence, it is our reaction to this external changes of which we have no control that makes us a better sales person and a better individual. Thus, Jackson’s parting words were “Be water. Adapt to changes.”

Leadership is not about personality; it’s about behavior—an observable set of skills and abilities. Mastermind mirrored its Leadership Challenge Program to THE FIVE PRACTICES OF EXEMPLARY LEADERSHIP® MODEL. This model discovered that when leaders are at their personal best there are five core practices common to all: they Model the Way, Inspire a Shared Vision, Challenge the Process, Enable Others to Act, and last but certainly not least, they Encourage the Heart.

The trainer provide the participants with the right leadership framework and since this is a hands on course, all of them are required to complete and present  leadership project that is relevant to the SEB.

What makes this program powerful is that all knowledge shared are applicable and is required to be implemented in the project. Their leadership skills were assessed by their bosses and through a personal questionnaire.

Post training during the project presentation day, the participants shared their experiences in completing their projects. Feedback and assessment was given by the trainer through a personal coaching session

This school holiday was made much more memorable by Mastermind Training International through the Speak Like A Champion Workshop. This two days workshop, attended and participated by 15 school children, aged between 8 to 20 years old turn out to be a huge success! Thumbs up to the Master Trainer, Jackson Ng for sharing and inspiring these bunch of highly charged children to speak like a champion!

Children nowadays are so engaged and engrossed in their relationship with gadgets and the social media. And that sort of dependency towards gadgets might distort their ability to communicate well with their peers or loved ones.

Therefore, children below the age of 20 years old need to be trained in the art of communication. An early start is important as the key to self confidence, high self esteem and positive self image is in the ability to convey messages, information and ideas well and effectively.
Speak Like A Champion helped the children to overcome the butterflies in their stomach. Most participants commented how they are now less stress in presenting their speeches. Some even said that they no longer need to use script while giving a speech. Bravo!!!

It was an informative session with Dato CM Vicks, CEO of PSMB during the recent meeting in Kuala Lumpur.
